When selecting an NAC product, key factors include clinical research on the raw material, clinical dosing, purity, excipient profile and manufacturing standards. Unlike herbal ingredients, which are complex and vary significantly across the many different grades available, single nutrients are far simpler to assess. Source and quality are still essential, but they are much easier to control and verify. If a material is authenticated and genuinely pure, the body can be expected to respond the same way regardless of supplier or brand name. Where this cannot be confirmed, the supplier and manufacturing process become critical.
The key questions to ask are: Is it pure? Has every batch been independently tested to confirm this? Is it free from impurities? Is it the correct isomer, where relevant? Is it stable over time and in combination with other ingredients?
Our NAC meets every one of these criteria. It is authenticated, independently tested on every batch, free from impurities, the correct isomer where relevant, and stable, so you can be confident you are receiving the full clinical dose stated on the label.
This product has been specifically developed for practitioner use and compounding, with:
- High-quality, verified raw materials with full traceability.
- Manufacturing in a TGA-licensed GMP facility in Australia.
- Rigorous third-party testing to ensure potency, purity and absence of contaminants.
- Patient compliance. NAC has quite a sulphury profile (as it contains a high content of sulphur, which is in part why it is such an effective ingredient) and our natural orange flavour has proved popular with patients.
This is a clean formula with 95% pure biofermented vegan NAC powder. The remaining 5% is made up of sulfite free natural orange flavour, a small amount of stevia leaf extract plus a very small quantity of riboflavin to help with the orange colour. This 5% excipient content, containing natural orange flavour, sweetener and riboflavin is to help with patient compliance as NAC is otherwise such a strong tasting ingredient. Citrus goes very well with NAC to balance the organoleptic properties and sulphur taste and we’ve had many practitioners and patients tell us that this is their favourite tasting NAC to date.
